The Old Rectory

The Old Rectory is a six-bedroom home in Brumstead, North Norfolk. The home provides therapeutic care for children with complex health needs and for children who may have experienced social and emotional difficulties. It is set within substantial private grounds and also has an on-site school registered as an independent school.

The home includes an open-plan kitchen, dining and living area, a main living room, a separate snug, and a south-facing conservatory. There is also a chill-out room with soft play equipment, a utility and laundry room, a downstairs cloakroom, a duty office, and a staff sleep-in room. Upstairs, there are six bedrooms for young people, including one with an ensuite, as well as two shared bathrooms.

Beyond the main house, a converted brick-built barn houses the school reception, a training room, and the Directors’ offices. Purpose-built school rooms opened in September 2018 and are registered as an independent school. The school provides education for young people living in the home and for those referred from other settings.

Our team provide consistent, trauma-informed care tailored to each young person’s needs. Staff also work with external professionals where required. The home and school together provide care and education within one setting.
